Oil Palm Plantation Management
A productive oil palm plantation requires attention from the earliest stages of establishment through the productive life of the palms.
Important activities include land preparation, planting, weed management, field maintenance, pruning, harvesting and transportation of harvested fruit.
Good field management helps create the conditions required for healthy plantation development and consistent agricultural production.
Harvesting and Farm Logistics
Harvesting connects the plantation directly to the processing stage. Once fruit bunches are harvested, they need to be collected and transported efficiently.
Farm logistics therefore form an important part of agricultural operations. Workers, tools, transportation and appropriate timing all contribute to the movement of produce from the field to its next destination.
